How do I get my cat interested in the scratcher?
Sprinkle a small amount of catnip on the scratcher surface. Drag a toy along the scratcher to encourage your cat to reach up and scratch. Reward with treats when they use it. Never force your cat's paws onto the scratcher, as this can create negative associations.
How long will the scratcher last before it needs replacing?
With daily use, most sisal scratchers last 3–6 months before the surface becomes too worn. A well-used scratcher is actually more appealing to cats because the frayed sisal holds their scent. Replace it when the surface is completely flat or the structure becomes unstable.
Is the scratcher stable enough for a large cat?
